These are great guidelines! We know some dogs have specific issues that require them to be done quickly – the majority of them are medical, as we have many “vet dogs” that we groom. Most dogs have no problem spending the day with us and we do try to make it as stress free as possible. Everyone that works here is a “dog whisperer” in their own way and we make sure we spend plenty of time giving ALL the dogs the attention they need!

First time grooming visits will always take longer. We take our time to acclimate our new clients to make the grooming process as comfortable as possible, as the groomer and the dog get to know each other. Puppies will take longer to give them the most positive experience they can have. We go slow and yes, we do “explain” to them what’s going on! When you bring home a puppy that might need grooming 2 to 6 times a year for up to 15 years (OR MORE), it’s VERY important that it be a positive experience!

Seniors or medical dogs can go either way. Some of these dogs need lots of breaks and some need to get home ASAP. We will work at the comfort level and needs of the dog to make sure we assess each individual.

ALL dogs here are given water and taken for walks as needed. Some dogs bring their lunch and we are happy to offer it to them! We check them constantly through out the day and give them as much attention as they need.

Also – we love pictures and in the absence of them we will ask you ALOT of questions about the haircut. That gives everyone a visual, including YOU so if there is something we can’t reasonably do with your dog’s haircut, you will know BEFORE you pick them up.

We are happy to meet with anyone before they make an appointment. If you call ahead we can try to set aside a little time for you to meet your groomer. We will give you a tour and you can meet other staff members and usually see other animals being groomed.

And we are always happy to answer any questions over the phone!
